Experiencing a pregnancy loss, miscarriage or stillbirth can be an extremely isolating and difficult experience. Sometimes loved ones say the wrong thing or say nothing at all. This 6-week, virtual closed therapy group will connect you with others with similar lived experiences, supported by empathetic mental health professionals. It will be a chance to share, witness, and process grief together.

The objectives of this group are to:

  • Normalize perinatal grief and loss

  • Provide a space to speak about your loss with others who have similar lived experience

  • Develop tools to manage the many emotions that can come with loss

  • Understand the signs and symptoms of grief and develop coping strategies

Group will run virtually on Mondays at 10:30am to 12pm, from November 6th to December 11th. The cost of group sessions is on a pay-what-you-can-basis of $5, $15 or $25. You can pay for group in one lump sum or per group before the first session or in advance of each weekly session. Please note that receipts for group therapy services will be issued under the name of a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Please check your extended health care benefits to verify if this group can be covered.

  • Open to parents who have experienced a loss, via miscarriage or stillbirth.

  • This group may not be suitable for parents who have experienced neonatal or postpartum loss.
