Perinatal Wellbeing Ontario is a not-for-profit organization that provides support to parents and people in the perinatal period who are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing. We do this by offering support planning for parents looking for help as well as individual and group peer support, a peer support Facebook group, low to no-cost therapy and educational and therapeutic programming online. We are committed to advocating for better care of people in the perinatal period. We want you to know that you are not alone, and help is available.
At Perinatal Wellbeing Ontario we recognize that not all birthing people are moms, not all partners are dads, not all couples are cis-gendered, married, or heterosexual and that challenges in the Perinatal period affect people of all cultures. We also recognize that families are created in many different ways and we are here to support anyone who is seeking help in the province of Ontario.
Our goal is to provide information about Perinatal Health and Wellbeing, community resources, connection to supports and advocacy for consistent screening and trauma-informed care of people in the Perinatal period.
We acknowledge that many Indigenous Nations have longstanding relationships, both historic and modern, with the territories upon which Perinatal Wellbeing Ontario is located. Today, this area is home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island. We are proud to acknowledge that there are 46 treaties and other agreements that cover the territory now called Ontario. We acknowledge that we are settlers on these lands. It is on these ancestral and treaty lands that we live, learn and work.
